SafeREnergy Annual General Meeting

Welcome

Hub Director, Professor Ian Chen, looks forward to welcoming Node Leaders, Chief Investigators, Researchers, and students from the ARC Research Hub for Safe and Reliable Energy (SafeREnergy) to meet at Deakin Downtown for the inaugural SafeREnergy Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 15 November 2022.

 

Event Schedule

The purpose of the Annual General Meeting is to bring together the many researchers working on SafeREnergy funded projects as well as those Early-Mid Career Researchers and students working on projects in energy storage, and related topics, to develop capabilities and ensure the legacy of SafeREergy.

With attendees asked to arrive by 8.30am for a 9.00am start, sessions will be devoted to Researchers presenting on their current research funded by SafeREnergy, as well as time to look forward and determine what are the capabilities, goals and future projects of each university Node.

 

Event Location

Collins Square, Level 12, Tower 2, 727 Collins Street, Melbourne

Deakin Downtown is a sophisticated, technology-rich corporate event space with flexible spaces for functions, seminars, conferences, and networking.

 

Hub Dinner

All participants are invited to the Hub dinner at 7.00pm on Tuesday, 15 November.  To be held at The Boatbuilders Yard, South Wharf, this dinner will be a celebration of the first face-to-face meeting for SafeREnergy since commencing operations in July 2022.   RSVP by Tuesday 8 November 2022 to saferenergyhub@deakin.edu.au

There are several hotels located within walking distance to Deakin Downtown, and close to Southern Cross Station for those wanting to use Skybus – Melbourne Airport ($32 return).

Costs

Participants are only asked to pay for their own travel and accommodation expenses; the ARC Research Hub for Safe and Reliable Energy will cover the morning tea, lunch and dinner on Tuesday, 15 November 2022.
